When is the GSG5SD due out? I want one before the "chosen 1" slams the door on our fun.

Ok. Well i own the GSG-5 so I was thinking on integrally suppressing it or cutting the barrel shorter and then tapping the barrel but I'm afraid that will make it class III for being short barreled.

buying one the above ... otherwise you could get a gunsmith to cut the barrel shorter (making it a Short Barreled Rifle) and finding a suppressor small enough in diameter that it can be squeezed in, maybe with modifications to the shell. I have not seen them in person, so I can't be of more help.

Bill, you can integrally suppress any rifle, but getting a gunsmith to build a custom suppressor would be costly.

If you have the GSG-5 SD, is it possible to integrally suppress it or suppress it in anyway even though it has a fake suppressor.

After handling one of the GSG pistols at a show today, the full-length integrally suppressed model may just be my first .22... I can see one $200 stamp, but not both.

Don, yes, it requires a stamp. Unlike the gamo suppressor, which is plastic and could not be used on a firearm, this is a "real" suppressor.

I was just talking about this with a guy at work. Does an integral suppressor count as class III? I remember there was a big todo over the gamo whisper (permanently suppressed pellet gun) and there was a ruling that since the suppressor couldn't be removed without substantial effort (cutting it off the barrel) it didn't count as class III. Am I mistaken or did I get that right?
