Well that was a waste of 5 bucks… You shouldn’t be allowed to fire a .50 BMG unless it’s going into something that will explode on contact. Puddles don’t count.

On a rig like that it can’t be fun if you don’t have your partner calling wind. It seems like a waste of cash to me. ;) Yeah, like I wouldn’t with someone else’s.

Now what did that poor puddle ever do to that guy?

I’m with Spaker, surely he could have found something more entertaining to use as a target.

its .50 BMG rifle. I doubt he could aim that heavy thing and shooting anywhere but down would be very irresponsible. The heavy 600-800 grain hunk of lead could easily kill someone miles away.

Hey guys…I’m the shooter. It was a waste of 5 bucks, but don’t we waste much more in a couple plinking trips? There was actually a rotten pumpkin in the water that I was trying to hit, and I almost did. We have put several hundred rounds through the weapon in much more appropriate contexts…i.e. the range or blowing up random objects. Below is a link to another video of Chad (the owner) firing a round at a boulder over 2 miles away. Since it was an API round, you can see the flash of the round hitting the rock…even from my crappy cell phone video.
