War Wolf
... The Daewoo is no longer imported. It was one of the original piston operated AR's from the mid-80's.

Steven
...Yes, it's supposed to wobble, no problems.

For those who have one, FAL handguards will fit with surprisingly little modification (either notch the front end for the sling swivel, or remove the swivel..)

Not sure where Kyle is getting his info. But my friend who finished his conscripted service in the korean military heralded the durability of the k2 while he was there. As far as I know the only reason why the koreans use us products is bc we package our weapons into aid packages to allies. same reason why the israelis use the m4 as well. its definitely not b/c our stuff is better, its just cheaper.

I am a happy owner of a "kimber" K2.... it was unfired when i purchased it, after firing one mag loadd to 28 rounds, i was done for the day. Last week i decided to clean it,and I noticed there was a wable/rattle to my piston rod. looking further at it there is a roll pin holding it.

( is it supposed to wable/rattle?)

The Daewoo Ks are excellent rifles. Simply excellent.

However, the South Korean rank and file prefer the M-16 series because they're an American design, the US uses them, and they assume that a Korean design is inferior.

Don't ask me to go into it - Koreans just assume that Korean products are inferior. I used to work with a lot of former ROK soldiers and Marines (since they have mandatory conscription) and they all, to a man, said that the M-16 was better because it wasn't a Korean design... even if it was manufactured by the same company as the K rifles... and even if they didn't have any actual problems with the K rifles.

A) Is Daewoo K2 better than Singaporean SAR-21? how does it fair with SAR-21?

B) Are they going to have a 6.5 Grendel caliber in the near future?

Is there a civilian variant of this Daewoo rifle available for the North American market? If so, how does it compare with our AR15 and the AK's?

I guess those are 1913 rails. I'm sure the young SC conscripts are happy with the upgrade. I think they prefer the M4 tho because of all the video games they played.
