Handgun KB! either cause minor or no injuries. Rarely do you have to go to the hospital when your handgun goes KB! In a non-bullpup rifle KB! you will likely sustain minor injuries. Took the top right off of the chamber of my Sears 220 hammerless single shot. (Last time I used a reload I hadn't done from decap to crimp myself).
