I was given an old single shot 16 gauge by an uncle who told me it was popping open when he shot it. His pile of shells he gave me with the gun had numerous 20 gauge shells mixed in. He was lucky it did not hurt him.

In the last video, did you notice at the end, that the idiot actually tries to get his buddy's rifle to take the shot?

This could of been avoided with a simple piece of tape over the end of the barrel!!

Idiot is lucky to be alive!!

As a rule of thumb.

Handgun KB! either cause minor or no injuries. Rarely do you have to go to the hospital when your handgun goes KB!

In a non-bullpup rifle KB! you will likely sustain minor injuries. At worst you will lose a finger or two or a body part. Rarely does it cause death.

I don't know about Shootgun KB!. I have to ask my cousin about. He is the shotgun expert.

.50BMG KB! Well you're lucky if you survived that.

You can't double charged rifle calibers. There not enough room to do it. In a 5.56/.223 using reloader 15, I had to force the powder into the case. The powder was no where close to the maximum, below half I believe.

This what probably happen on the first videos. The first bullet was stuck inside the barrel/chamber. He force the second round into the chamber causing it to KB!.

The shotgun blowing up looks like what happened to me a long time ago. I ended up firing a shell that a novice reloader had loaded with drams of red dot instead of dram equivalents; about a 3X overload. Took the top right off of the chamber of my Sears 220 hammerless single shot. (Last time I used a reload I hadn't done from decap to crimp myself).

The AK could just be a case head seperation. it's hard to see what kind of damage was done to the gun. certainly is a lot of smoke.

Jumping to the conclusion of "Out of battery" without any evidence seems to be prevalent on the internet. but in gas operated guns it's pretty rare, and if it does happen in a gas operated gun, it does little dammage, since the pressure's never get that high (compared to a bore obstruction, or blown case).

Out of battery firing is not possible on the M-16 style rifles (the firing pin is held away. even if it does happen, it will not kaboom the gun, since it unloocks early. Out of battery firing is an issue with blowbacks (especially open bolt SMG's), since the chamber is not fully supported when the gun is out of battery.

The first video shows whay it is not a good idea to have a forward assist button. he keeps saying "bad-primer" but more than likely it was no powder, and the primer pushed the bullet into the bore. Instead of checking the bore, he simply loaded another, and slammed the forward assist until it chambered. pulling the trigger on a gun with a bore obstruction (Which is what an extra bullet in the bore is) is a sure-fire way to kaboom it.

With how much the kid's slamming the forward assist I wouldn't rule out a broken casing in that first one.
Plus he's got SPORTS all out of order there. It's in that order for a reason!

In the first one, after several failures to fire, they were talking about who had reloaded the rounds.

"Jesus Scott, you don't know how to load these."

"I didn't load them...Brian did."

KABOOM

Well...apparently SOMEONE didn't know what they were doing.

This would be why you should never shoot reloads that you didn't load yourself.

And wear eye protection.
