Glock pistol used at AR-15 foregrip

I saw this at Occupied Nashville:

glockmount tm Glock pistol used at AR 15 foregrip photo

The device is called a “Univeral Tactical Attachment For Glock 19” and is manufactured by Israeli company FAB Defense.

It mounts a Glock 17 or 19 onto a standard standard picatinny rail and includes a side charging handle for the Glock that somehow attaches to the slide.

Pretty pointless, unlikely to be legally used in the US (because it adds a stock to the pistol), and costs $425!

On sale at Israeli Weapons.
UPDATE: Manufacturer name and website provided by DoubleTapper. Thanks DT.

Exurbankevin hit the nail on the head. I would LOVE to get my hands on one of these. It is perfect for mounting your glock under a less lethal launcher.

We use RAP4 less lethal M4s for protection against hand thrown projectile attacks (rocks, bottles, whatever) and also carry Glocks for armed attacks. Often, if facing a crowd throwing things, several people in the crowd will have firearms. This is be a great solution for us.

If the IDF wants to produce a pointless AR attachment, why not do it with something that sounds badass, like, the foregrip flamethrower or something! Why use a pistol as a foregrip when you can watch your enemies burn to a crisp with the .5 ounces of feul in your handy dandy foregrip flamethrower! Such a catchy idea isnt it? lol

Think about it this way, you have a choice between two vertical grips, one that shoots and one that doesn’t. Which do you choose?

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Why on earth would you mount your sidearm to a rifle? It totally defeats the purpose of having a sidearm. There is absolutely no logical application for this unit. If you run out of ammo, you reload the gun. If you run out of ammo, and have somebody in your sights, how the heck are you supposed to aim the secondary??

You simply lower your rifle and draw your sidearm like you are supposed to do.

This is one of the worst ideas that I have ever seen. Ask somebody like Chris Costa from Magpul what he thinks about something like this…I’ll bet he laughs his tail off or does the cliche – if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all. I’m going to email Chris and get his opinion. I’ll be back.

If this is the best thing FAB has ever made, I’d probably not care to see the rest of their product line…

People who critisize this are dumb. If you run out of ammo in your M4 and you have someone in your sight you don’t have to stop shooting. It’s a perfect combination in full auto and semi auto w/o having to touch a switch.

This is the best thing FAB has ever made!

There is a Youtube video floating around that has a full auto Glock on a rig like this mounted under an MP5. I’m pretty sure its primary purpose is to waste a lot of ammo in an attempt to look awesome at the range.

IDF used those in the 1990s. They liked them in urban conditions. It is combat proven as far as IDF testing in conflicts go. It was all over the tv programs back in the 90s. I forget their reasoning, but it is along the same lines as the 9mm MagPul fold up pistol that looks around corners.

All in all just another question nobody ever asked.

And the only reason I could EVER see this being “combat proven” is if your AR is loaded with “plastic bullets” and you need something handy in case those don’t work.

But I can’t see that being faster or easier to use than just transitioning from your AR to your pistol.

Actually it gives you another space to mount a flaseroynet* if you have a Glock with rails on it.

I also just noticed that it costs $425, does that mean that it comes with the Glock or the AR upper or something?

The products from that dealer are “combat proven” I would like to see this.

    A stupid design.

One U.S. machine-building company developed some dual barrel weapons in the 90′s, allegedly for SOF purposes.

The only dual barrel design that I considered to be worthwhile was a kind of 7.62×39+.45ACP design. The latter can be used as subsonic silenced weapon at night and in enclosed rooms with carbine accuracy while the normal assault rifle system had a useful all-round capability.
