I visited a Tweeter store in the Carolinas last year and was shown a 60″ Pioneer plasma TV in their dumpster which had taken a .45 slug right in the center of the screen from about eight feet away, and had not penetrated (there was a small lump on the back steel chassis). I’m guessing all the glass and multiple layers of epoxy-slathered circuit boards acted like Kevlar. The owner of the TV had been “cleaning” his gun when he saw someone on TV he didn’t like and shot him.
