I JUST INSTALLED LASERLYTE ON MY SR9C. THE SR9C HAS AN AVERAGE COST OF $500. SO WHEN THE DOVETAIL ON THE SLIDE IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN THE LASER SIGHT. I FILED A LITTLE AT A TIME ON THE FRONT OF THE LASER. THIS WAY IF I WANT TO REMOUNT THE RUGER SIGHT I HAVEN'T CHANGED THE HAND GUN. IF YOU DON'T FILE THIS FRONT BEVEL YOU HAVE TO USE A LOT OF FORCE TO SEAT THE LASER. THIS COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE SLIDE OR THE LASER. WHEN REMOVING THE ORIGINAL SIGHT PAY ATTENTION TO THE RESISTANCE NECESSARY TO FORCE IT OUT . TRY TO MATCH THE SAME RESISTANCE ON THE LASER. THIS LITTLE TIP WILL MAKE THE INSTALATION MUCH EASIER. IT WON'T TAKE MUCH TO MAKE IT FIT PROPERLY. I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

Hey guys ! Hope you can give some good feedback about adjustments on lasers. I bought a Weaver Mount Red Dot Pistol Gun Compact Laser sight on Ebay (check it out on Ebay, very slim line laser) and mounted it to my KelTec PMR30. I zero'd it in using a bore mounted laser so I knew it was perfectly aligned with the barrel at 15 feet before I went to the range. Once at the range, I realigned it for 25 feet or so and fired a clip or two through it before checking the alignment. It was off, shooting lower left to the laser. I readjusted for 75 feet and after just 1 clip noticed it was off about half the distance on the target as before in the same direction. I assume the adjustment screws are moving when I shoot from the viabration. !st) Did anybody else experience these types of problems ? 2nd) How did you fix it ? The adjustment screws are so small that using locktite maybe be impractical whereas putting elmer's glue on top of the adjustment screw may keep it from moving and if I need to re-adjust the screw, elmer's glue usually breaks away from metal in one piece. What do you guys think ? Any suggestions ?

I too have had trouble with this laser sight. Sent the first one back. The replacement one is no better. Still can't adjust the elevation down. Live and learn I guess. Will buy a Crimson Trace in a few weeks. The LL is truly a POS.

I have to tell you... I love this product. I have it on my G27. The main selling point for me was the customer service. The sight actually came as a package deal with my Glock. I installed it the first night and I couldn't get it to sight in. Played with it for hours, but it stayed about 6" left of target no matter what i did. When I tried to adjust windage any further than that, the laser cut out. I called Laserlyte the next morning and described the problem in a message. They are based in AZ and are 3 hours behind me. I got a call within 10 minutes of the time they opened and the customer service was second to none. They sent me out a new sight (which showed up in 2 days) along with a 12 pack of batteries and a prepaid postage envelope for the return of the defective sight. I installed the new one and it was spot on with very minor adjustments needed. I had it shooting perfect within 20 minutes. Zero problems out of it. Best customer service I've ever experienced. I would buy this for all my guns. Well worth the price. Fantastic idea and fantastic product backed by top notch customer service. 5 stars.

Latef, while I don't doubt that the sight is a POS, ALL laser aimers are not in line with the bore. The closest one is the lasermax guide rod laser, but even that will have offsets depending on the distance.

This item is shit. I have purchased on an had it installed by a Glock gunsmith. The laser comes on and runs the battery down - 2 months and 3 sets of batteries (3 of the them used at a time). I would recommend the crimson trace or other laser as it should be more reliable.

This item is worse than junk. The chinese would be embarrassed by the build quality and it might just cost you your life. The "steel" construction is more like cast pot-metal, and the elevation stuck about a foot high at 20 feet, and the set screw threads on elevation and windage was sloppy. Unbelievable. Buy one if you want a $200 cat toy. Can't believe I bought this piece of crap.

Looks totally impressive BUT I'd think it will be a challenge (to say the least) to install since normally a (GLOCK) sight mover is required to remove and install the Glock rear sight and the sight mover will not fit the round contour of this sight. On the plus side, similar to CTC, the windage and elevation adjustments are very very nice.

The batteries are on the left side of the sight with the diode (laser) on the right side. The white piece at the rear of the batter compartment looks to be the on/off switch. It's a terrific idea, but the CTC lasergrips are more "natural" to turn on. Even the guide rod laser would be more natural to turn on since your finger should be indexed along the frame (close to the take-down lever / on/off switch).

LOL, ok now 200 might be worth it since you'd pay that for another laser system.

Okay, a laser, that's cool.

But where the hell do they stock the batteries ? I mean, yeah, they could manage to stuff a tiny battery in that, but you'll have like... 20 minutes worth of laser ?

Also, It's going to radically change your sight picture, which (I think) might not be a very good idea.

That'll be a tough competition for CrimsonTrace.
The left one seems to be for the activity indicator and battery?

I'm all for bigger iron sights in general, though.
