I have both weapons too and find they are superior to my AR-15s. The 556 pistol definitely prefers the 55gr TAP round while the 75 gr TAP is great in the carbine.

I purchased both the 556 swat pistol and the 556 swat carbine. Both perform very well and are accurate to 200 yards. i can recommend both and I believe are less likely to jam if dirty etc than the AR-15.

Why in the world would they put the charging handle on the right side??

In order to maintain the grip on the handle and finger on/near the trigger, the shooter must reach over the top with the left hand to access the charging handle. The Robinson Arms XCR is an ergonomically superior platform with the side charging handle on the left side as do the FAL and MP5 and other HK platforms.
