What does legendary gun smith Bill WIlson carry? The “Bill Wilson Carry Pistol”.

From Wilson Combat:

After the Television appearances by the boss (Bill Wilson), we received so many calls to find out which pistol Bill carries on a daily basis. Well here it is!! The “Bill Wilson Carry Pistol” is the pistol Bill carries every day.

He gave me the complete list of his favorite touches and how a carry gun should be outfitted. Take a Wilson Combat CQB Compact, add the new “Round Butt” treatment, shorten the slide stop pin and counter sink the frame (giving you the option to use the Crimson Trace laser grips), slide top serrations, our new “Carry Cuts”, and finally this wonderful pistol is fitted with Bill’s favorite thumb-safety.

This “Carry pistol” is outfitted exactly as Bill would want it, wearing a set of Wilson Combat Starburst G10 grips with a black slide over a grey frame custom built to exacting standard by some of the best pistolsmiths in the world today. If you are looking for the perfect carry pistol and you were never sure how exactly it should be, here it is with all the features handpicked to match the gun that Bill carries daily.

Price: 2,850.00

You shuld be aware that all Wilson firearms are built with Wilson parts. All the parts are built from ground up in their Arkansas factory.
Seldom, if ever, is any gun related part on back order.
Yes, you’re paying top dollar but you’re getting a high quality, lifetime pistol that Wilson will stand behind for a lifetime.
Finally, their customer service is second to none, period!

From what i understand most people that buy kimbers (which are really nice guns) replace parts with wilson pieces anyway. Why not just buy the wilson in the first place.

The best way I can describe the difference in a Kimber or any other production line 1911 is, the production line 1911′s are like a Timex watch, “they take a lickin and keep on tickin, but they are just that a Timex, not a Rolex. I have a Wilson and I have an XD. Both very nice, one’s a Chevy and ones a Rolls
The economy is bad but there are still going to be people who buy Rolex’s.

That is a beautiful 1911. It’s a work of art.

For you naysayers… A Wilson Combat is far superior to anything that Kimber could ever dream of making. What makes the price so high? Every pistol is a custom pistol. There is nothing standard on a Wilson. Each gun is handcrafted and there is no such thing as a production line at their facility. Accuracy? The 5″ barrels are guaranteed 1″ at 25 yards and the 4″ barrels are guaranteed 1.5″ at 25 yards. Quality. You pay for it. You can buy 3 Kimber Crimson Carries for the same price because Kimber can probably make more than 3 of them in the time it takes to handcraft 1 Wilson. Nothing against Kimber. My point is just that one is made by a production line and the other is handcrafted by a person.

I have had a Wilson in the past. They are worth every penny. Far nicer than a Kimber. Maybe as accurate, but the fit and finish is the best in the business.

Obviously at $2,800 this pistol is not designed for the average Joe. Maybe it’s designed for all of these investment crooks who have stolen other peoples money or CEOs using the money we bailed their sorry asses out with!

I CAN BUY 3 ULTRA CARRY 45 ACP KIMBERS WITH CRIMSON LAZER SIGHTS FOR THAT PRICE!

    WHAT MAKES THEM SO HIGH?

CANNOT BE $2000 DIFFERENCE IN A BILL WILSON AND A KIMBER, ESPECIALLY IN THIS ECONOMY.
