The weapons being anything they can find and tactics being kidnapping civilians and attacking oil infrastructure. I have not read of any credible military victories. The “Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta’s” only claim to fame is managing to damage an oil platform 120km offshore.

    As you can see thes guys are not lightly armed and they look like they mean business (note the heavy calibre and low calibre machine guns and the rpgs

    Their tactics and weapons may not be top that impressive, but their strategy is. These guys are part of why oil prices are where they are right now.
