LWRC had previously announced that a third party contractor was working on a high capacity magazine to field in conjunction with its Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LWRC_IAR ). This might be it. This weapon is in the same running as the Ultimax. Of course, the Ultimax is an older design and is not as cross compatible with the AR platform as the IAR.
