saw the picture of the maxim silencer brochure and was wondering if you know what the value of a real silencer is. Have seen .22 cal model for pistol with offset hole for use of gun sight. The silencer has to be at least 75 years old and wasnt all beat up and looked safe to use (havent tried tho).

Richard Ho,

You do realize that that company hasn't existed in years and a I mean YEARS?

This ad appears to be published in the early 1900's, maybe around 1930-ish, not sure.

If they were still around they wouldn't be able to send you designs either for legal purposes.

There are lots of websites out there with alot of information on building a suppressor of your own.

The Manager,
Maxim Silencer Co.
Hartford, Conn.
USA.

Dear Sir,

As it is not possible to import a silencer into Australia, may I request from you a drawing with measurements for a silencer to be made for the Nagant 1895 revolver. I would appreciate if you will also indicate the materials needed for the different parts of this silencer.

I would like to do some experiment of making a silencer to fit in my Nagant 1895 if you kindly share your expert knowledge with me.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Ho
