The Taurus Millennium PRO, of which I now have 9mm along with the .45 ACP, are Single Action (primary) and can revert to Double Action if a second strike is needed to ignite the primer. They are striker fired pistols and are carried already locked and ready to fire. You cannot chamber a round without it being ready to fire. The earlier Millennium (non-pro) were a Double Action only, meaning that you had to pull the trigger back the same amount each time to cock and release the striker spring for the firing pin.

It's interesting that you say you aren't a fan of DAO guns, but you prefer the milennium pro, which is a DAO gun... BTW, the DAK trigger is soooo much better than the taurus trigger. As to the .40 vs the .45. It's an age old debate, small minds want huge projectiles. But in real life the .45 does no better than the .40, and in lighter loadings the .40 gets near .357 mag defensive load perormance. Ther is no debate which is more powerful between .357 and .45. All that said, I prefer my P229R DAK in .357 sig.

I'm not a big fan of Double Action Only, which is what the Double-Action Kellerman is on this pistol. Each shot is from the very beginning of trigger pull, where SA/DA involves the first shot being Double Action and all subsequent shots are Single Action since the hammer is now in the cocked back position. Sig made a special lever to release the hammer safely from the hammer-back position. It allows for just a bit more fine trigger pull for shot to shot. It is this reason I prefer my Taurus Millennium PRO which shoots DA, same trigger pull, from 1st shot to last shot.

Since they were going from 9mm to a different caliber, they should have just gone up to .45 ACP instead of the .40 S&W caliber. A 40 S&W might expand to .45 caliber, but the .45 caliber never shrinks to smaller .40 diameter.
