this is i great gun and shoots amazing never jams, dead on accuracy ,but dont get the remington 30 round clip for it bc it sucks and is worthless but i do get alot of coments and complements on the stock most people like it. i also like it because it comes with the tru glo sites that are easy to see at night when coon hunting. i also like the fact that the stock comes off with just 2 bolts ,makes it easyer to clean .one last thing the bolt cylcles rilly fast and if you need it to u can fire this thing about likea automatic.the bottom line is this is the best 22 i have ever shot. before i bought it all my friends said get a ruger 10/22 because thats what they have but now i can out shoot them, withthe 597 plus it never jams with the regular 10 round clip and mabe once or twice with the 30. this is a way better gun than the ruger 10/22 and any one trying to make a choice on wich to buy. i would strongly advise the 597.
